A MICROGRID is a set of distributed energy resources, traditional or renewable, operating in a coordinated manner as a single controllable unit that provides energy, electrical power, heat and/or cooling within a defined area. Depending on the overall strategy and needs of the client, microgrids provide the flexibility to be connected to the utility grid (ON GRID) or be disconnected and operate in complete isolation (OFF GRID). Microgrids contain a Power Management System (PMS) capable of administering in the most efficient way the use of your generation resources.
